Highland Tank recently delivered this custom-fabricated 27,000-gallon underground double-wall Series-J oil/water separator to a electric power generating company. The separator is configured with an effluent pump out chamber located on the outlet end. This special chamber houses submersible pumps and a series of float sensors that determine effluent/water levels in the chamber and control pump-out. In addition, the separator was fitted with reinforced large rectangular manways to provide for safe and easy access to perform any required maintenance. Reinforcing was required due to the deep burial required at the installation site.
